Description:
First book in the series by Simón Fernández, which brings together in three volumes some of Paco de Lucía's greatest hits.
This is the first transcription in score of Paco de Lucía's work adapted for Flamenco Flute and melodic instruments in C, B flat, E flat and bass clef.
When transcribing a polyphonic instrument such as the guitar and adapting it to a monophonic melody, Simón Fernández has synthesised the notes that form the melody and distinguished them from those that form the accompaniment.
In most of the themes the melody is given by the individual notes of the guitar, but on some occasions these notes of the melody are included in a chord, a tremolo or a rasgueado from which it is possible to decipher the sound that predominates in its execution.
In some of the themes we have opted for a harmonisation as an accompaniment, so we can add a flamenco guitar to play the chords, a cajón and a bass to form our flamenco quartet and thus be able to enjoy these themes to the full.
List of songs included in volume 1:
El Tempul (Bulerías)
Entre dos aguas (Rumba)
Plazuela (Bulerías)
Aires Choqueros (Fandangos)
Cueva del Gato (Rondeña, Fandangos)
La Barrosa (Alegrías)
A4, 184 pages
